Yummy Adventures!

Hello, pie lovers! So as you know from my previous blog, we had family reunion last weekend and got to visit my grandparents. And many yummy, and fantastic treats accompied it as well.

Upon the request of my grandpa, my mother made another one of the famous treats, our Great grandma Louise always had around. Fried pies! We made Jack Daniels Chocolate, Apricot, and Peach. With dried fruit grown by my grandma Lois. Oh my, they were definitely heavenly. The taste put a smile on my grandpa's face instantly. This was actually the first time in my life that she has ever made them, and my experience was enjoyably amazing. Here are a few pictures, along with some of me and Amy eating them while we're still in our pajamas. :)

Here are a few pictures with just a peek of how much fun we all had at family reunion!

Grandpa

Hello Pie lovers! Lots of fun things happening at Kemmy's this week.

All of Kemmy's Krew (which is only family), is taking a trip to our annual family reunion, as it may be my grandpa's last big event that he will be able to attend. He is 73, and is contracted with COPD and lung cancer. My grandpa has affected and impacted my life in so many ways, and it completely devastates me knowing that these are some of his last days with us. I know I should be happy for him and cherish every moment I have with him, and I will try to make these days great and exciting for him! He always found some way to make me laugh when I was mad at the world, and I wish I could think him everyday for that. Experiencing a short lived career in the pro - baseball industry due to injuries, he knows quite a bit about hard work, sports, and just life in general, which has helped me through my years and will continue to help me in many years to come!

Finally the shipment of Filligreen Farms blueberries were delivered, and oh my, they are DE-licious! I can't wait to taste them in our yummy pies. They'll make the flavor even more delicious.

Keep sending positive and good vibes to our grandpa throughout this year!

Interesting

Hello pie customers. 4th of July rush is over, but we are still as busy as ever. Keep in mind, we are open everyday for a purchase of one slice of pie or a whole pie with selective drinks as well. You are also able to eat in the heart of our kitchen, in the dining area.

Everyone here at Kemmy's definitely conflicts with each other now and then, but that is only because we're family and work with each other every second of everyday. But I guess that's what makes us so special. We are hard workers and all have the ability to put aside our personal problems and get to work. If I could sum up all of our personal relationships with one word, it would be interesting. Saying that in both a positive and negative way and that is what makes us such a close family.

By the way, our Apple Explosion pie has went over with all of our customers as a hit! Everyone is in love with the exotic flavors, and also probably a little spectacle of how all the components taste together. I know I was. To be honest, I thought it sounded disgusting, but after I tasted it, seriously it exploded in my mouth.

Hope all of you have a great week and enjoy one of Kemmy's Wonderful Pies!

Flags and Pies

Hello wonderful Kemmy's customers! It's Natalie again and I could not be more excited to catch you up with all the wonderful blessings in our business.
Days of being crammed and uncomfortable in our space, are long gone. We have now moved into our Pie Parlor and have been undeniably busy! We are baking over 400 per day, and now sell at 29 stores. The renovations are absolutely beautiful, along with the decor as well. We are open for pie tastings and additional delicious coffee.

Just a few pictures of our building

So many new and exotic flavors have entered their way into our menu: Tequila Blueberry Chèvre made with local shamrock goat cheese, along with Apple Explosion featuring cheddar cheese, caramel, and jalapeños. As you can see we take new ideas and flavors to the next level and do not joke around about the pies. We are currently experimenting with the Peanut Butter flavor, and Lemon-Blueberry.
The newest addition to our family,  Mister Sully

Hope all of you are enjoying your Fourth of July and had at least one of Kemmy's Pies. In stores is our seasonal special the Rasblueberry pie only in stores for a short while so grab it while you can! Stay tuned for more updates, and have a great holiday!
